the playlist of my life

Do you love music?

well then, this is the playlist of my life //

favorites: july

TWENTY ONE PILOTS

Twenty One Pilots is an American musical duo from Columbus, Ohio. The band was formed in 2009 and consists of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. (also known as my sunshines, tbh)
I became a fan of them earlier this year (thanks to my utterly cool friend who goes by the name Louis) but I remember the first time I heard them was while watching their performance on the MTV movie awards last year and I was literally in awe. I also recently saw them live at Trinoma, and it was such an astonishing experience.
I love all of their songs but my all time favorites from them would probably be Lane Boy, Lovely, March To The Sea & Fake You Out.
I love twenty one pilots because:
 They make me VERY happy.
They're such great, talented, funny and amazing people- Tyler & Josh have such an adorable friendship.
Their music & lyrics are so brilliant, unique, catchy, meaningful- and it really changed my life.
They inspire me to express myself through music.

♡iZOMBIE

iZombie is an American Sci-fi, Crime & Comedy-drama TV series that is a loose adaptation of the comic book series of the same name.

It is about a medical resident named Olivia "Liv" Moore who is turned into a zombie while attending a boat party. To cope with her new appetite for brains, Liv takes a job at the morgue and shares her secret with her boss, Ravi. In order for Liv to survive, Ravi encourages her to eat the brains of murder victims who are delivered to the morgue. Whenever she eats a victim's brain, Liv inherits some of their personality traits temporarily. She also gets flashbacks which often give her clues of the murder. She uses this ability to help the Seattle Police Department solve crimes, disguising herself as psychic counselor. -Weird, I know.
But me & my parents usually bond by watching this series, it has a fresh feel to it and it's just so hilarious. I love the actors and the plot is so compelling- I can't wait for season two.

♡HOMEROOM DIARIES

Homeroom Diaries is a realistic fiction/coming of age/ comedy novel by James Patterson about a teenager named Margaret "Cuckoo" Clarke and her cyber-bullied group of misfit friends who try to make a change by promoting happiness in their school. I really love this novel because of how it stands above the rest. It's eccentric, funny, has awesome illustrations- but despite the very positive and witty outlook of the main character, she goes through a very tough time because her mother left her. This book has inspired me and taught me that I can't be too young to make a change. tw// The novel also  helps readers open up about topics like suicide, depression & cyberbullying because it has a list of hotlines at the back of the book.

That's it for todaaaay thanks for reading, loves!

FEMINISM

 greetings!!

today I would like to talk to you about feminism.

Feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.

First of all, I hate how feminism is often misinterpreted for misandry/ man-hating,

and I think it is because most modern feminists nowadays just bully men and anti-feminists,

modern day feminism has strayed so far from the original intent of feminism,

because all they want is to Free The Nipple**and that isn't right at all.

This results in people thinking it is a useless, mundane, and bad cause, and making groups like Women Against Feminism.

I want to change that, because as far as I know, men and we people should all help each other and coexist.

YOUTUBERS

YouTube is a popular video-sharing website founded in 2005, and since then the community has grown and now the site has 1 billion active users each month.
YouTubers are the people who post content on the website. Most of them are vloggers (video bloggers) who talk about their everyday lives, some of them are gamers who do walkthroughs of popular games, some are beauty gurus who do make up tutorials.

I have been a big fan of YouTubers for more than three years now, and I am here to tell you about my favorite content creators on YouTube and why you should watch them.

When you need a laugh:
Dan & Phil are here to the rescue!
Dan Howell (Danisnotonfire) & Phil Lester (AmazingPhil) are two british video bloggers & radio personalities for BBC.
They had cameo roles in the UK version of Disney's Big Hero 6 and have been presenters at various award shows. They won the Sony Gold Headphone Award and was nominated in 2014 for a Teen Choice Award for Best Web Collaboration.  They also have a gaming channel called DanAndPhilGAMES that has over a million subscribers.
I honestly love Dan & Phil because of their originality, their quirkiness and their great friendship.
They make me so happy and I'm sure they'll make you happy as well.

When you need some beauty tips:
Michelle Phan will help you with your fashion-filled adventure!
Michelle Phan was one of the first YouTubers I watched.
She is an amazing and successful make up artist, stylist and life guide who has 7 million subscribers and over a billion views on YouTube.
In 2014, she was nominated for two Teen Choice Awards and in November, she launched her very first book called "Make Up: Your Life Guide to Beauty, Style, and Success -- Online and Off."
Michelle Phan was one of the reasons why I got interested in make up & fashion, she is an inspiration.

When you are in the mood to sing:
Pentatonix is a phenomenal a capella music group that you should definitely listen to.
The group formed in 2011 and won the third season of NBC's The Sing-Off. They have released 4 studio albums were nominated for 4 major awards and recently won a Grammy for Best Arrangement.
I discovered Pentatonix early in 2013, and I instantly fell in love with their music when they did a mashup cover of Swedish House Mafia's Save The World & Don't You Worry Child. They're just  so awesome and you have to listen to them and watch their videos.

The crowd at Vidcon

From comedy skits to awe-inspiring musicians, YouTube has grown popularity and is now a typical form of entertainment for the youth nowadays. YouTubers are like celebrities,  hence, they have their own conventions like Vidcon, Playlist Live, Summer & The City & Youtube Fanfest & most of them have even published books & have their own tv shows/ podcasts.

I love the YouTube community, and I'm sure you will too.
